holes 8/27/10
I am reading a book called holes.the author of my book is Louis Sachar. Staley Yelnats is in a detention center where they dig holes. he is in there because a kid named zero stoled some shoes and he tho them over a hiway and it hit stanly and the cop thout he stold the shoes.it happen in the modern day and staly was walking back from school.

Andrew you definitely know how to give a summary. What happened to universal theme, the second part of the question? If you forgot there were two parts, where could you go to make sure you answer both parts of a response question? How do you figure out what the theme of your book is?
